Welcome to my web site!

I am Kirsti Rooks, this is my early childhood education web page.  It used to serve my classroom and now provides resources for children, parents and teachers.  Most of the information posted is from my last teaching assignment.  I have enjoyed teaching since 1993.  Click here to learn more about me. 

 

 

 

 

 

A new policy by my service provider required me to re-write this entire web site using a new program!   The new program is challanging in that it offers me less options.  I am slowly conquering this and hope to have any remaining links and files restored shortly.  If there is something specific you are looking for and can not access, please contact me and I will try to help you.

• My Classroom page is filled with information about my Kindergarten class as well as some neat teaching  resources from when I taught Preschool.  You can also find a tour of my classroom!
• Opal's Page has photos and information about Opal.  Opal was our classroom rabbit for most of her nine years on Earth.  She provided countless memories for many students.
• Chocolate Kisses for Early Childhood Educators is the presentation I made at the Ohio Catholic Educators Association conference.  This is a two part resource that provides classroom management ideas as well as many interesting yearlong Art projects I used in my classroom. 
• Also on this page is the presentation and handouts for a 2005 presentation at the same conference on Navigating Your Way Through Word.  The hand outs are quite usefull for Word guidance.

• Links for Kids brings you to many fun links to other web sites that are applicable to PK - 5th grade students (coming soon)
• Fun Activities provides neat ideas for playful learning.  These ideas would be useful with both the Toddler and Preschool aged child. (coming soon)
